The steps of a clinical trial
Visit the screening center
Your stay at Alta
For most of our studies you will stay at our clinic for 24 or 48 hours. During your stay you will be served hot meals prepared by our on-site caterer. You will receive the study medication and may have up to about 30 samples of blood (approx. 6 mL each) taken. The blood sampling as well as any other tests, will be explained to you during your screening visit.
We encourage you to bring things that will help pass your free time while on study.
Please note that as of July 1, 2022, payment for parking will be at the expense of participants enrolled in a study.
Reserving your parking for the duration of your medical evaluation or your study can now be done with ParkSmart.
The toll-meter accepts tap credit/debit cards only or online purchase at mobilepermit.com.
After your stay
Follow up visit
After your stay you may need to come back for an additional blood sample or other follow up test.
After your last visit you will receive your indemnity.
Then you will be ready to start all over again!

Don’t forget that there is lots of construction in and around Montreal this Summer. Make sure to leave early enough to make it here on time.
