What is a clinical trial?

It's an essential step in the development of new medications.

It often takes over 12 years of research and development before a new medication has undergone the extensive testing process to ensure that it is both safe and effective. It is only the last steps of this long process that clinical testing involving humans occurs.

At Altasciences, we mainly conduct trials for generic formulations (copies) of medications which are already on the market, but we also conduct trials for new medications.

Participants are indispensable to medical research. Without them, no new medication could be developed or improved.

Can I participate?

Be over 18

For all of the studies conducted at Altasciences, all of our participants must be at least 18 years old.

Meet the study criteria

For each study you must meet the specific criteria such as sex, age and BMI.

What's the purpose?

To contribute to the development of new medicines.

To develop the availability of less expensive generic drugs.

To benefits from a health check (electrocardiogram, laboratory tests, etc.).

To receive financial compensation.

How much will I be compensated?

Participants who enroll in our studies usually receive between $700 and $4000. This indemnity varies with the length of stay in our clinic or the number of follow up visits. The compensation is not related to the medication or the risks associated with the study.
