Patients with liver disease or cirrhosis
Who are we?
It takes about 12 years of research and development before a new medication is put on the market. Each medication must undergo an extensive testing process to ensure that it is both safe and effective. Humans are only involved in the very last steps of this long process, through clinical testing.
At Altasciences, we mainly conduct trials for generic formulations (copies) of medications which are already on the market, but we also conduct trials for new medications.
Participants are crucial to medical research. Without them, no new medication could be approved or improved.

Who are we seeking?
We are looking for people who suffer from hepatic impairment to participate in a future study in Montreal.
If you have been diagnosed with any liver disease or cirrhosis, you might be eligible to book a screening visit to determine your level of hepatic impairment (mild, moderate or severe).
Book a screening visit at our medical center at no cost. We will be able to give you an overall health assessment, which will allow you to join our list of potential candidates for an upcoming clinical trial.
How are participants compensated?
You will receive $300 for your participation in the screening visit.
If eligible, you will receive up to $4,000 for your participation in an upcoming clinical study.
All of the details will be explained by one of our agents over the phone.
